NPPL Hall of Fame to be Announced at the DC Challenge!

It’s hard to believe that paintball has gone almost 30 years without having an official Hall of Fame that recognizes that greatest players and industry members that have helped make the game what it is today, and that’s why the NPPL and Pev’s Paintball is doing something about it.

At the upcoming DC Challenge tournament, the league will be announcing the first members that are being inducted into the NPPL Hall of Fame, complete with a recognition ceremony. The first class will be made up of the pioneers that started the game of paintball and made the necessary risks to help propel the sport to bigger and better heights.

All inducted players and industry members will be selected by an elite panel of paintball’s current best and brightest. In the future, fans will also be able to participate in the voting and selection process.  Pev’s Paintball Park in Aldie, VA will also be the home of the NPPL Hall of Fame and host special memorabillia associated with the league and the hall. 

The official first class of the NPPL Hall of Fame will be announced both in the official PBNation DC Challenge forum as well as through the league Facebook during the weekend of the event.

NPPL DC Challenge Registration Closes tonight!

Attention all NPPL DC Challenge teams!  The final registration deadline for teams to register to play in the DC Challenge tournament will be on Wednesday, July 27th.

The DC Challenge will be held at the legendary Pev’s Paintball Park in Aldie, VA on August 6th – 8th and looks to be one of the most highly anticipated tournaments for the 2010 competitive season.  On top of featuring elite competition across professional and divisional brackets, the DC Challenge will also showcase a number of other outstanding highlights including:

· East vs. West All-Star Game

· Announcement of First Class of the NPPL Hall of Fame
· Vendor Village
and much more!

NPPL Captains Meeting and Player Party Info!

NPPL DC Challenge Captains Meeting and Player Party Info!

The NPPL in conjunction with Pev’s Paintball Park and the league pro teams will be hosting a Team BBQ Thursday Night at 5pm at Pev’s Paintball Park.  Your entire team is invited to enjoy the BBQ, plus then you can send your team captain to the NPPL captain’s meeting that starts at 5pm.  NPPL Commissioner Chuck Hendsch will be in attendance throughout the night and will personally announce the East / West All-Star Game rosters during the BBQ at 5:30pm.  Don’t miss the kick-off party!

Then on Saturday night, the official NPPL Players Party and UFC Fight Night will be held at the Bunker Sport Café in Leesburg VA. There will be NO cover charge for NPPL players.   The All-Star Game awards ceremony will take place during the players party, including the announcement of the All-Star Game MVP.  There will be a great prize giveaway, including some of the custom All-Star Game pro jerseys. Following the awards ceremony, NPPL members are invited to stay later to watch the UFC 117: Silva vs. Sonnen fight.  Players under the age of 21 are welcome up to 10pm.

NPPL All Star Game Voting has been Extended!
The National Professional Paintball League is excited to announce that due to overwhelming response, we will be extending voting for the NPPL All-Star Game for 72 hours!
Some of the results were just too close to call, and the votes are still piling in! The 2010 NPPL All-Star Game vote now ends July 26 at 11:59 (Pacific Standard Time).
The All-Star rosters will be announced at the Thursday night BBQ in DC!

2010 NPPL All Star Game .”‘Western Division” voting is now live!


The NPPL DC Challenge tournament at Pev’s Paintball Park is approaching quickly, and the league is proud to announce the details on the premiere event for the weekend, the annual NPPL East vs. West All-Star Game!

The All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, August 7th, and will feature a modified Super 7

format.  Dynasty superstar Alex Fraige has been selected by his peers to lead as the captain of the Western division, where he’ll go up against Edmonton Impact player and captain of the Eastern division, Josh Davey.  Both teams will compete wearing custom jerseys made especially for the All-Star game, which will be auctioned off after the event.

The rosters for both teams will be partially picked by the NPPL fans and supporters, ensuring that everyone gets a chance to cast their vote to get their favorite pro paintball player on the team!  The All-Star game will be covered by all major NPPL media partners, including PaintballPhotography.com and Paintball.com.

Polls for your favourite Western team players are now open! Voting ends July 22nd!

In just over a month the NPPL is going to be pulling into Pev’s Paintball for the DC Challenge on August 6th – 8th, and the league is urging that all teams book their hotel rooms as soon as possible.  To make the reservation process easier than ever, the NPPL has partnered with WST Sports for hotel travel arrangements.  Team captains and individual players will just need to create a WST Sports account and you’ll then be able to pick your hotel and complete your booking in record time!
